The software that I use for my genealogy site automatically generates a What’s New page that looks back 45 days. The only drawback is that it only tells you that a record has been changed. It doesn’t tell you what was changed. This is a slightly more detailed description of the edits.

I renewed a six-month membership to Ancestry All-Access, so there will be substantial updates for the next few months. Hopefully my computer won’t die for six weeks like it did last year.

Photos

Added photos for Robert Jones, Magdelena Diefenbach, Violet May Diefenbach, Virginia Ann Diefenbach, Cydnor Diefenbach, Arthur Diefenbach, Terry Barnett, Carl LB Diefenbach and Violet Mae Lubaski.

Census

Added the 1930 Census for Carl Joseph Diefenbach, Magdelena Schmidt, Margaret Louis Diefenbach, Carl Louis Berle Diefenbach, and Margaretha Herman.

Added the 1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880 Censuses for the John Fulton and Calista Douthitt family. In the 1870 census, there’s a Jane Hoyt living with John and Calista’s family. She’s 11, the same age as William. There’s also an Emery J Hoyt, age 8, living with Robert Fulton just down the road. There don’t seem to be any other Hoyts within 2-3 pages in either direction. I also note that Jane is no longer living with them in the 1880 census though she’d have been 21 at that point.  Emery Hoyt does not appear in the 1880 Robert Fulton record either.

Added the 1790 Census for Samuel Fulton. Note that this particular Samuel was born in 1773, making him just 17 at the time of the census. The 1790 and 1800 Censuses only collected the name of the head of the household. I think it’s more likely that the father was also named Samuel, since there were two males over the age of 16 in the household. Also added the 1800 US Census and the 1803 Ohio Census.

This month I located three family trees on Ancestry.com with extensive information on the ancestors of Leslie Lybert Fulton, my former father-in-law. That’s Oldest Son’s grandfather and I’ve been making a concerted effort to learn more about the Fulton and Singleback lines for him.
