Short posts this week and likely next. Not much going on this week, and lots going on next week. Thursday we load in to Wagoner and do a show Friday night. Then we pack it up right after the show and load in to Tahlequah HS PAC Saturday morning for a show that night and Sunday afternoon.
Not much more college football for me. Finishing the season at 9-3, Michigan has a bowl game coming up, though we’re not sure where yet. I’m hearing rumors of the Citrus Bowl, possibly against Texas, which would be an interesting matchup. Would have driven my Dad nuts. He was a two-time Michigan alum from Austin.
Tulane won the American Conference championship and will likely get a bid in the College Football Playoffs. It’s distantly possible that Tulane could play aO$U in the playoffs, which would have tickled my Mom to no end.
Northeastern State won the inaugural First Americans Bowl with another record-setting performance.
It didn’t break my heart that Indiana beat aO$U in the B1G championship. In fact, it may just set up the Green Wave-Bucs game I talked about.
The Plot Thickens
As I’ve been researching the Shine Solar bankruptcy, I’ve made some…interesting discoveries.
First, there’s this thread over at /r/solar, which discusses the bankruptcy. There’s mention in that thread of the Shine COO taking over as Tite Energy president immediately after the bankruptcy. That’s curious. It’s verified on Christoper Trudo’s LinkedIn Page.
I note that I can’t find Tite Energy’s listing at the Arkansas Secretary of State site, searching by name or fictitious name. That may just be me, though.
The person who’s answering the support at Tite Energy email used to be the HR Manager at Shine and now lists herself as the Office Manager at Tite. She posts a lot of stuff to the Shine Solar page on LinkedIn, too.
They gave us a quote on the uninstall/reinstall of our system so we can do roof repairs, but based on what I’m learning, I don’t exactly trust them. I’m reaching out to other local companies, and we’re considering filing a claim with our insurance company.
Music
Every year Spotify creates your Spotify Wrapped, a playlist of your top 100 streams from the last year. Here’s mine, if you’re insanely bored. I should point out that 6 of the first ten (and 8 of the first twenty) belong to my “Wakeup” playlist that plays every morning with my alarms, so that skews things more than a little bit. I’m probably due for some new music on that one.
I’m kind of surprised that I only had nine Jimmy Buffett songs on the list. I thought I played a lot of his stuff on the trip to and from Pennsylvania. That’s almost as many Buffett songs as Bob Seger (seven) and John Mellencamp (six).
Blogroll
It used to be a big thing for bloggers to list the other sites they read as a may to direct traffic to deserving bloggers. I set up a blogroll early on and pretty much left it alone, though I moved it around a few times. It started out as a widget on the sidebar, shifted around a few times, then ended up on its own page. I’d pretty much forgotten about it until Thursday when I noticed someone had actually visited it. It occurred to me that I should probably go through and update links sometime soon.
And I just realized, it’s not linked to any of the menus, so now I’m curious about how someone found it.
