The software that I use for my genealogy site automatically generates a What’s New page that looks back 45 days. The only drawback is that it only tells you that a record has been changed. It doesn’t tell you what was changed. This is a slightly more detailed description of the edits.

Mods
Added Count Ancestors n Descendants to show the number of ancestors and descendants under an individual’s name on their page.
