No, I haven’t dropped off the face of the earth. really.
The day job consumes 35-38 hours each week, plus about 5 hours travel time. This week, our church youth group is running a fireworks stand. I took last Thursday off to help take delivery of 4,200 pounds of fireworks and set up the stands. I left at about 0030, and had to be up the next morning for work at 6. Next couple of days involved 8 hours at work, then a few hours at the stand, ferrying my kids back and forth.
The big news for The Sad Girl is that I’ve signed a contract for cover art with Samantha Bagood at Cover Pub. Looks like she’s in the middle of reformatting her site, so bear with her. She’s also on Facebook.
I’m very excited about taking this step, but it seems like every step I take towards actually releasing the book gets more intimidating. At this point, I’m hoping it’ll be out by the end of July, but life has a way of laughing at your plans. We’ll see.
