Short post this week to maintain the streak. I’ve been busy looking at desktop computers because I’m tired of my MSI laptop constantly crashing. But switching computers means I’ll have to buy another monitor plus a keyboard, and man, there are a ton of cool keyboards out there. So that’s been taking a lot of my time this week.
I’m also working on a long Music For A Sunday Afternoon post about cover songs. That’ll probably drop in a week or so. The working title is “I Didn’t Know That Was A Cover Song;” it’s about…songs that you probably didn’t know were covers.

A preview, of sorts:
For instance, lots of people know that Meat Loaf and Marion Raven were not the original singers of “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now.” Many of those people probably think Celine Dion sang it first.
They’re wrong.
Jim Steinman, who wrote the song along with about a bazillion other hits, had a girl group called Pandora’s Box. Its members consisted of Ellen Foley (who later appeared in “Paradise By The Dashboard Light” with Meat Loaf), Elaine Caswell, Deliria Wilde and Gina Taylor. Pandora’s Box originally recorded “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” for their only album, a 1981 release called Original Sin. That album also premiered “Good Girls Go to Heaven (Bad Girls Go Everywhere)” and “It Just Won’t Quit.” Both of those songs later appeared on Meat Loaf’s 1993 Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell.
Here’s the Pandora’s Box version with Elaine Caswell doing the lead vocals.
Reading
Still reading Jeff Shaara’s To The Last Man and enjoying it.
Writing
I haven’t made goal yet this year. I did get some editing done on Ghost which I think will help me reengage. I’ve banged out just over 5,800 words so far and I should be at over 27,000. Yeah. Gotta work on that.
