Short post this week. But there’s more pictures.
It’s the second week of the year, and my second week in Pennsylvania. I’m still hanging out with Editor Friend. Her surgery went well, and now it’s just about recuperating. Her church has a meal train running, so we haven’t needed to cook much at all, which has been very nice.
Her cats have sort-of warmed to me. A little.
Turns out that winter in Pennsylvania involves snow. We got about four inches or so Monday, canceling school for two days. It’s been a minute since I had to shovel the stuff. There was a snowstorm in Ohio back in February 2011 right as we were launching on our RV trip. I recall it making life kind of interesting as we moved into the RV. And it’s snowed more than a few times in Oklahoma over the last fourteen years, but we never really got enough that I needed to shovel.
Plus, it’s apparently a thing in Pennsylvania that boroughs to require homeowners to clear the sidewalks around their homes. Oldest Son says he’s never heard of the ordinance being enforced, but I took care of it anyway. Had to do the driveway, too, for when Editor Friend needs to get out to appointments and church later.
Muskogee got hit pretty hard too, getting six to seven inches of snow, and that’s a region that just doesn’t get much snow. All of the local school districts canceled classes for Friday, and if the storm had hit during the week, they probably would have closed the next day.
Diana sent me a couple of shots of the back yard.

In the meantime, like I said, I’ve made friends with the cats, to an extent.

Writing
I didn’t make goal this week, mainly because I’m still trying to sort out exactly where Ghost is going. Lots of thinking going on though.
