As you go around making last-minute preparations for the holiday, or even just go about your normal life over the next few days, please keep a special thought in your heart for those who will be working Christmas Day. Some have been called to a profession that many of us can’t handle, and they won’t be seeing anything merry or bright when the alarms tone out, or the radio sends them back to the same address for the third time this week.
Some have answered their last call this week, or even today.
There are others who just have to work tomorrow, taking your support calls when the new gadget doesn’t work, or there’s something wrong with your credit card. Most of them have families at home, so taking the day off isn’t necessarily an option. If you have occasion to contact someone in a call center this weekend, try and keep a kind tone in your voice, and an extra thought in your heart for them.
Wishing all my readers peace, joy, and happiness. Merry Christmas.
